Pina
This was an odd documentary to me. Visually it was impressive, there was a lot going on with the dancing that drew you in, but at the same time it was hard to connect since it was hard to know what was going on all the time. Visually dance is a strong form of expression, but sometimes the meaning behind it escapes me, especially when it comes to ballet.
The praise for Pina Bausch was what I liked best because everyone's faces were sad, no matter what they said it was filled with praise and yet sadness. I think this tribute to her truly is remarkable because it shows the influence Pina Bausch had on them and how her memory lives on through dance and expression.
